Book a free self-led visit to Kirkham Priory and organise your day to suit your curriculum objectives. The gatehouse has some excellent heraldic images to view and the refectory doorway has some exceptional carving. The laver, where the canons would wash is also very well preserved, giving your students the opporunity to explore what everyday life was like inside medieval religious institutions.
