Garden Tour at Marble Hill
Overview
Explore the landscape at Marble Hill on a guided tour. English Heritage have recently completed a project to restore Henrietta's rural retreat, using a survey from around 1749 to guide the recreation of an early 18th century villa landscape. The tour includes a walk around the restored pleasure gardens at and covers highlights of the project, including new meadow areas and wildlife habitats, flower and Grotto gardens and over 300 newly planted trees, along with a summary of how the garden team manage these spaces in the face of climate change and other modern day challenges.
