From Plot to Plate at Walmer Castle

Get hands-on in our historic kitchen garden with the gardeners and team who care for our gardens today! Understand how the garden was developed at the castle and how it works now. Through games and fun activities, pupils will explore the complete growing and harvesting process of fruits and vegetables – from plot to plate! They’ll learn about different soil types, sow seeds to take home, and find out how to identify garden produce through the seasons.
